Office of Annual Giving

.

Why is it important to give to the Annual Fund even if you have made other restricted gifts to UE?

UE depends on the Annual Fund to balance yearly operating costs.  Tuition covers less than 90% of the actual cost of educating each student, and gifts to the Annual Fund help make up the difference.  Therefore, the Annual Fund is the foundation of all giving to the college and provides assistance to every student on campus.

Why don't all gifts count toward the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund consists of unrestricted gifts to UE that support the yearly operating budget. A gift made to support a restricted project, such as a particular scholarship fund or a capital project, cannot be used in the operating budget of the college.

The Annual Fund is a critical component of the University of Evansville's annual fundraising efforts.

Comprised of the Alumni Scholarship Fund, Friends for Educational Excellence Fund, Parents' Fund, Harlaxton College Annual Fund, and the Athletics Scholarship Fund, this unrestricted fund enables UE to provide resources to those areas where the need is greatest. Annual Fund gifts have an impact on every UE student.  Your gift will contribute to completing the University of Evansville Experience through areas such as:

Academic Quality: Student learning is our top priority. The Annual Fund is charged with providing student scholarship assistance for all deserving students.

Distinctive Curriculum: The Evansville Experience is knowledge and understanding that prepares students for professional success...and for life.

Values-Based Environment: A tradition of inclusiveness and open inquiry where personal values are accepted and supported by others.

By making your 2007-2008 Annual Fund gift now, you will be part of the larger group of alumni, parents and friends who contribute each year and help open doors for University of Evansville students.
