Why do we call?
To help support UE students!
Gifts are applied to areas such as student scholarships and financial
aid, library acquisitions and enhancements, etc. Annual Giving dollars
help provide the “extras” that make a vital difference between a good
academic program and a great one.
Each year more than 32,000 phone calls from UE students are made in an
effort to reach alumni, parents and friends. These contacts are made to
allow UE alumni, parents and friends the opportunity to directly engage
with students and impact the quality of education. Our phone calls,
direct mail pieces and e-solicitations also help us to update our
records, communicate new initiatives or exciting programs, and inform
alumni of upcoming special events such as Homecoming, Parents Weekend,
and Greek Weekend.
Where does my gift go?
Straight to the University!
When you give a gift to the University of Evansville, you are
able to decide where your money goes.
Most individuals request that their gifts go to the
Annual Fund, which consists
of the Alumni Scholarship Fund, Parents’ Fund, Friends of Educational
Excellence and Harlaxton College Annual Fund.
It is through gifts to the Annual Fund that we are able to
provide competitive scholarships and financial assistance, which will
help attract outstanding students to our campus each year.
But if you would like to designate your gift to another area,
such as to a specific school or program you can do that as well.
It is completely up to you!
Just by participating in Phonathon, your gift will help support
University initiatives and will ultimately impact major projects and
programs campus-wide. You
may not realize it, but every gift matters and can really make a
difference to UE and the students we serve.
Phonathon Advancement
We are
U•Evolving so to speak.
Right now we are putting together a great bunch of returning
students to work for the 2008 Fall Phonathon season.
We have made some distinctive changes this year and we feel that
it will not only benefit our student callers but it will also help
alumni, friends and family of the University of Evansville.
We are very excited about the start of a new year that we can’t wait to
begin Phonathon. UE Fall
Phonathon will begin on Monday, September 15 and will end on Thursday,
December 4, 2008. Student callers will be contacting donors Monday –
Thursday evenings from 5-9 pm and Sunday afternoons from 1-5 pm.
U•Envision 2010 Capital Campaign
The University of Evansville is still going very strong since it
launched the public phase of the U•Envision 2010 Capital Campaign on
September 29, 2007. This is a very important comprehensive campaign for
UE and
you
can be a part of it.
Through the 2008-09 Phonathon campaign you can show your support of
U•Envision 2010 by giving to the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Your gift will
be recognized as an Alumni Scholarship gift and counted toward the
capital campaign– how great is that!!

Want to become a UE student caller!!!
If you are dedicated and enthusiastic about the University of Evansville
and love to speak to others about how great UE is – then this just may
be the job for you!!
The Office of Annual Giving is always looking for bright, energetic, and
proud UE students who can assist us by becoming phonathon callers.
Responsibilities:

Solicit alumni, parents,
and friends of the University to make an annual gift to the Annual Fund,
Parents’ Fund, Harlaxton College Fund, Athletics Scholarship Fund or the
Fund for Educational Excellence.

Provide information about the UE Phonathon Program, all Annual
Campaigns, Leadership Giving Club Levels, and the University to
prospective donors.

Update
prospective donors about current UE projects, happenings and events on
campus.

Verify and
update prospects’ information accurately
-
Gain experience and
knowledge within the Phonathon Program for next year.
